Something a little more formal

Hey Stylesters

I thought I'd russle up something a little more formal and to be honest, I have been chaffing at the bit to post about Phoenix Rising, I thought that they had closed, but it seems they are now for sale and meanwhile everything is ON SALE - $25 per item, absolute bargain!!

The male section is really quite small especially when compared to what they offer for the girls, but the quality is certainly there and I have bought at least one of everything. I have no idea how long it will last, but at the time of posting they were still open and the $25 Linden sale was still on. Just a tip for free, send your girl there for some great formal and semi formal wear as well starting at L$1.

You will no doubt notice that this is the same outfit that features in my current blog banner - that's how much I like this outfit. The shirt itself also comes with two collars, the second (not shown) doesn't have the flexi tie attachment.

I have included a close up of the shoes, the first time I've done this, but I really do like them, they are high quality and the attention to detail is very good.

The tattoo is the one I promised I would show you from Back & Writer Unlimited, it is tintable and was on special at L$35.

Today Steam is wearing:
Achilleus piercing  L&R - group gift from Gabriel
Royal Onyx/Silver man necklace - from Milady's
Grey Push shirt with tie - from Phoenix Rising
Slate Risk dress pants - from Phoenix Rising
Hermony wristband - from Hermony
Hwy'lirics tintable tattoo - from Back&Writer Unlimited
Mens captoe royal Oxford dress shoe - from Cattiva e Cattivo
Poses - from Serenade

So until next time....

And with the shirt came.....

Heya Stylesters

This outfit had a strange beginning.
It all began when I stumbled across an old hunt gift at Actchio for the Ladyskulls unisex tattoo (still available) which I instantly liked for its understated design particularly when worn with this shirt.......

In my travels to put together an outfit to suit the tattoo I found Happyend (I'm sure there's a play on words there) and their free gift "Blue Shirt" - I was wrapped and this shirt will definitely remain part of my wardrobe into the future. The jeans and shorts combo came from Back & Writer Unlimited and were very reasonably priced- I also picked up a new tattoo which I'll save for another post. The textured belt appealed to me because it removed the need for a prim add on without detracting from the overall look.

You'll note I'm wearing my favourite shoes again.... I did warn you!

So you see, it all began with an old hunt gift tattoo :)

Today Steam is wearing:
Diamond stud earings - full perms & available from Formosa Club Secondhand Market
Unisex Ladyskulls tattoo - GSH hunt gift (still available) from Actchio
Shark Tooth Necklace - from the Delirium Style "The Falc"outfit found at the DS II sim
Blue shirt free gift - from HappyEnd
80's Jeans and shorts with textured belt - from Back & Writer Unlimited
Shoes - my faithful Dunks from UBU
Poses - from Time Engineer on the Marketplace

Until next time......

Need Photography?

A big shout out goes to Dakota Rumble who put together my new banner image which was uploaded at the same time as this post. Dakota owns and operates Xpose Photograhpy but her main business is male and female clothing which can be found at Xpose. Either way, she is a wiz with photoshop and her shop is worth a visit - Needless to say I'm way happy with the end result.

Welcome to Steam's Style

Welcome to my the very first post of my very first ever web blog! Being a live store model for well over 6 months I thought it was time to expand my fashion reach and blog what I like in male Second Life fashion.

First and foremost, if you're male and looking for fashion, you need patience, there is no doubt that being female in SL places you well ahead of us guys but with a little patience and a few lindens you can find what you need and are looking for.

So to introduce Steam, this is my base avatar:

Today Steam is wearing:
Black bead Necklace - group gift from Gabriel
Two strand necklace - group gift from Gabriel
Rob headphones -  from Robbish
Venom Vines Tattoo - from !K&L!
P-Belt spiked - from Cobrahive
Baggies - from ::Stray::
High top shoes - from UBU
Pose - from Time Engineer on the Marketplace

Hair, skin, eyes and shape will for the time being remain a mystery but suffice to say they are premium but well worth the investment.

You may notice that there is no hot link to ::Stray::, that's because the store is closed and they are no longer available. I agonised about whether to wear them for my first post but in the end they are my favourite jeans and were one of the first purchases made on this avatar so in the end I decided to wear them.

The UBU dunks will turn up time and again in my blog, I can almost guarantee it. They form the base for nearly every casual outfit I wear, with their colour change HUD they are well worth the spend and are a great investment.

The tattoo from !K&L! is also a favourite and will also no doubt make it into another post at some time into the future.

My influnces in SL are quite eclectic and range from steampunk, punk and grunge through to the more mainstream, but as you will see should you decide to follow my fashion travels, its all about texture quality and fit.

So that being said, I hope you enjoyed my first post.
