Straight after my last post I went and finished MHOH6 and started the daunting task of unpacking and sorting things out. Actually I still have two stores to go but they aren't open until July 29 so it gives me a few days to crunch through my newly expanded inventory.

Working Hard!

I was really wanting to style a look for this blog post that drew upon my own trade contractor roots and although I always knew what I wanted I ranged high and low through SL and took my time to put it together. The longer I blog the wider I roam as I find more and more fantastic designers and their wares; this post highlights a number of stores I've not previously been too and I am really pleased with the quality of their designs and textures.

Of particular note are:
HoD Lustful piercing - okay so it took me a little while to get the colour right but the end result is fantastic
Dragon Tattoo - I love it, great attention to detail and no evidence of stretching
Harvey biker boots - I really wanted a worn used work boot look and I really struggled.. that is until I found these
Justina unisex overall - this is the glue that held this look together, it took me a while to find these but I'm sure not disappointed with the end look.

On The Road

I think I need to quit smoking in SL... I've noticed that a lot of my posts seem to have me with a lit cigarette hanging out of my mouth. I'm sure there's some sort of subconscious message to me there somewhere. I guess there's no plain packaging or health warnings on packets so no harm being done right?

Not sure I'm that hungry anymore!
This outfit all started with the trench coat, I was checking out a new menswear mall I found and saw this coat and just had to have it - I added the beard tattoo layer and voila! It really suited a dodgy diner weary road traveller look and  Olivia's Creepy Diner fitted the bill perfectly.

On Patrol

Not really sure where the inspiration for this post came from but I'm pretty sure it came from a documentary about the journey of one particular soldier through the Vietnam War that was on Sunday TV a few weeks back. Having travelled through both Vietnam and Laos I have a better appreciation for the personal and military challenges faced by the Coalition forces during that particular conflict.

By the way, the army cargo's are awesome - I've been wearing them ever since, lets see if they turn up again in another blog post.

So until next time...

Make Him Over

MHO hunt #6 dates have just been announced - July 20 through to August 20!

Anyone look familiar?
MHO details can be found here:

Each year as a tradition, MHO creates a unique advertising campaign that really sets it apart from its peers. This year they used the different but interrelated concepts of Emotions and Destiny. This included a unique photo shoot and an insight into the real life journeys of the models - each day in the lead up to the hunt, MHO will post on their blog one ad and the story of the model as well as sharing it through the MHO group. They have chosen people from very different backgrounds and have included members of the MHO group, models, designers, officers, and others who support the idea of Make Him Over!

Not sure how I ended up looking so sad, maybe It's because I have to wait another 18 days until the hunt.

Lost

For a long time I've been fascinated by contrasting themes in art, the greater the contrast, the more interesting the image. So when I found a steam locomotive in a field of wheat I just had to use it as a canvas for my blog. And what could be more contrasting then, perhaps a businessman complete with attache case looking very much out of place and perhaps even lost!

Where the hell am I?

Today Steam is wearing:
Boyd hair - from Madesigns
Reader glasses - from Adjunct
Kyoto tattoo - from EBA
Shirt/sweater - from Alphamale
Slate formal pants - from Phoenix Rising
Alligator boots - previously blogged here

I really enjoyed bringing this to you, I hope you enjoy. The backdrop I've used for this blog is part of the work of AM Radio under the auspices of the Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts at Ball State University and is called not surprisingly "The Wheatfields", it can be found here.

Until next time...
